Working with this web site
Via this web site you search one or more databases of this institution, for instance a museum collection, a library catalogue and/or an archive. On the Search tab you can search for data in different ways, by entering words or parts of words, or by choosing from lists of existing keywords such as authors or creators.
After executing a search, the Results tab becomes available. (Simply click a non-greyed out tab header to display that tab.) In the results you'll see a brief display of each found item (a record). Click the text of such an item to retrieve more data of that record and display it on the Details tab.
On the Results and Details tabs you can mark records by clicking the checkboxes to the left of a them. Records that you mark are included in your Selection, which can be viewed on the tab with that name. You can do several things with a selection, such as: send it per e-mail, print it, or download files linked to those records (documents or images for instance). Materials available for lending, described in records which you have included in your selection, can be reserved per item on this tab.
On the Search history tab, you'll see your previous search commands, and you can execute any listed search again by clicking Start search.
If you are a registered borrower with this institution, and you are logged in, then on the Status tab you can view your personal data. On the Search profiles tab you'll then also be able to view any earlier saved SDI queries: these are search statements which you set up to be executed automatically once in a while. This way you can have e.g. a list of recent accessions sent to you by e-mail regularly.
